Capt. Tom Brown's
Galveston Bay Fishing Report - Nov 27, 2010

The Thanksgiving weekend worked out pretty well considering the wind speed some days.

Took Wayne Daughtery out on Wednesday for a nice catch of Trout and Reds, caught mainly on live shrimp. Friday was a good day with Brian Marquet from Slidell, La. We again caught Reds and Trout. Some were caught on live shrimp and some on Norton Sand Eel Jr. in Margarita. Saturday I took Dr. Art Farley out and we caught limits of Trout and a Flounder; but couldn't seem to get the Redfish bite going. Art had to be in early, so we called it a morning and got him back on the road.

Hoping these cooler temperatures will bring some bigger trout to the areas we are fishing. There was one trout caught there that went a solid 28" and was glad to see the person who caught it was having it mounted.

Come on out and do some fishing. Even in high winds we are doing quite well, and the colder it gets, the bigger the trout.

Learn the Bay Classes:

I am conducting one-on-one classes of the Galveston Bay System. You pick the bay and we will spend a half-day trip exploring that bay and the techniques and timing of fishing there. Bring your hand-held GPS and a map and note pad and I will try to further your knowledge of the bay you choose.
