Capt. Tom Brown's
Galveston Bay Fishing Report - June 29, 2010

This past week was one of our best, with limits or near limits coming every day.

Some on live bait and some on artificials. My best producer on artificials has been the Norton Sand Eel Jr. in Margarita color.

Looks like the tropical storm might make things a bit dicey this week; but after it passes, the trout should really turn on.

Had a five and nine year old out this past Tuesday, and while it's pretty tough for young kids, given the heat, Max and Luke held up real well and did a fine job catching trout. Also, very well behaved!

Mark, his son Connor (an Iraqi veteran) and his Grandad had a good day and managed thirty trout and a big bull red.

Most days we have been in pretty early with limits of good solid trout in the 18 to 20 inch class.

Come on down and enjoy a good fishing trip; with no oil mixed in!

Learn the Bay Classes:

I am conducting one-on-one classes of the Galveston Bay System. You pick the bay and we will spend a half-day trip exploring that bay and the techniques and timing of fishing there. Bring your hand-held GPS and a map and note pad and I will try to further your knowledge of the bay you choose.
